Shri Sainath institute of laboratory medicine is run by Shri Sainath Rural Education Society
Shri Sainath Rural Edcuation Society has been established in the year 1991 and Registered with the Govt, of Maharashtra (Regd, No. MAH/485/91] to impart education and more particularly Health Education With this aim the society has started a course of Diploma in Medical laboratory Technology in the year 1994. This was the first phase of the comprehensive programme to be taken up in subsequent phases, in the second phase we have started Post Graduate Diploma Course in Medical Laboratory Technology. The institute is recognised by Government of Maharashtra Ministry of Technical Education and it is affiliated to the Board of Technical Education, of Maharashtra.
The Institute is having its own Diagnostic Centre that is advance pathology Laboratory ,with Automated instruments ELISA Reader fully automated Cell Counter (Haematology analyser] and ELISA washer Chemistry Analyzer etc. along with full fledge required routine instruments, The Institute is also having full flede blood Bank with component unit to provide better practicles & Training to the students located in the prime area of Nagpur i.e. Sakkardara Square, Nagpur. The Society has also started in February 1995 a Blood Bank & Blood Component Units, named “Shri Sainath Blood Bank & Components” which is licenced by the Food & Drug Administration, Govt of Maharashtra and Drug Controller of india, Government, of India Vide Licence No. ND/BB/31 .
This bank is one of the Quality Assurence Blood Bank in the region. In Blood Component Unit Blood is processed and seperated in different components such as plasma, packed Red Cells, Platelets, Cryopreci pitate etc. The Blood Bank is designated as Regional Blood Transfusion centre by BTC, Govt. of Maharashtra. The Blood Bank is also recognised by NACO, Governement of India.
Our students are placed in various government services, non-government services and also self-employed. Details are given separately.
The Government of Maharashtra has granted permission to conduct PG DMLTcourse to this Institute from the academic year 2002, Vide G.R. No. PTI202k(] 93/ 02)TE2dt. 15 July, 2002.
Above all The Institute has highly qualified and experienced Professors who are dedicated to raise the standard of teaching. That is M.D. (Pathology) M.D. (Microbiology) with more than 20 years experience in Medical Colleges
